How's the snow and when do lifts run?

Hudson Bay Mountain typically runs its winter season from December into April, with reliable Bulkley Valley snowfall. For live conditions, snow report and daily lift hours, check the Hudson Bay Mountain website before you travel.

How far is town and the airport?

The cabins sit on Hudson Bay Mountain, roughly 20 minutes from downtown Smithers for groceries, dining and gear. Smithers Regional Airport (YYD) is about 25-30 minutes away, with connections via Vancouver.

How many people can you sleep?

It depends on the cabin: Double Black Retreat sleeps 6, while Bonnie Doon and Sunrise Chalet each sleep up to 14.

Is there a minimum stay?

The minimum nightly stay is 3 nights. Contact us if you have a special request.

Are pets allowed?

Pet policies vary by cabin. If you'd like to bring a dog along, please reach out before booking so we can confirm what's possible for your stay.

Is there parking?

Yes. Each cabin includes free on-site parking, with room for the vehicles a bigger group brings. Winter tires or chains are strongly recommended for mountain roads.
